Women in the Woods:

This monthly session is designed to create a warm and friendly environment where women can connect, relax, share and learn. Monthly meeting of Friendship, Fireside chat and fun in a beautiful woodland environment.​

It's all about YOU . We understand how hard it is to carve out time for yourself so these sessions have been designed to bring women together round the campfire for some real Nature Nurture.

CONNECT: Time to reflect and think is scarce. These sessions will provide individual reflection and nature connection time. There will be space for flow and in-between conversations

NATURE: ​​Embracing the emotional, physical and psychological benefits of being outdoors helps to unlock the potential and creativity in us all and supports mental and physical wellbeing.

CREATE: Creating a warm and friendly space for women to come, take time out, participate in craft, conversation, reflection, and curated activities.

PLAY: Being Playful/having fun together and learning new skills brings enormous physical and mental health benefits

- Play allows individuals to regulate emotions.

- Playfulness creates joyful experiences stimulating dopamine.

- It helps us to make sense of new information and strengthen memories.

- And it helps to enhance neural activity that helps our creative thinking.

PAUSE … taking some much needed YOU time 

We will facilitate a warm and welcoming space once a month at the private woodland we use in Histon where women (age 14 plus) can come together for support, fun and friendship. Sessions will run for a couple of hours on a Sunday morning once a month. What we do during those sessions will largely be determined by the wants and needs of the group and individuals, however, the focus will be on Nature connection and community with all the lovely benefits of time spent outdoors, with good company around a campfire. Hot drinks, campfire snacks, craft and kinship will form the bones of each session .

Hosted by Forest School Leader Lorraine and Happiness Coach Sarah these sessions will have wellbeing, happiness and fun at their heart and we promise to leave you feeling refreshed and nurtured.
